Find a local Chiropractor, Children misdiagnosed with ADHD could be suffering from spinal problems. Spinal problems can cause Behavioral Problems.
Chiropractic is the science of locating nerve system stress caused by spinal and cranial misalignments. These misalignments can lead to abnormal function of the body's nervous system, which in turn may effect function of other systems in the body. Spinal and cranial misalignments can cause ADHD like symptoms and so all children exhibiting these symptoms should be checked by doctors of chiropractic to determine the presence of nerve system stress.
Preliminary research is evaluating the effectiveness of chiropractic care in children with ADHD. One study, conducted by the Psychoeducational & Guidance Service of Texas A&M University showed that the children under chiropractic care showed greater symptomatic improvement than those not under care. Additional research is being compiled and conducted by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Chiropractic care for children has been shown to be gentle and safe.
